Venture General Contracting is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our team. Working closely with project managers, you'll provide estimates, budget control, and studies that guide our projects from the business development phase through pre-construction and into construction. This role spans all project scopes, systems, and assemblies, making it key to the success of Venture's commercial and multi-family projects.Compensation & BenefitsVenture offers a competitive compensation range of $110,000 to $160,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and your family:

  • Develop and maintain accurate pre-construction and construction estimates in collaboration with project managers
  • Lead project lump sum bidding processes and resolve technical details in the pre-construction phase
  • Build estimates grounded in design, constructability, logistics, and sequencing knowledge
  • Cultivate subcontractor relationships for estimating, bidding, and project awards
  • Prepare estimate presentations, budget control reports, and documentation for client presentations
  • Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs and maintain quantity controls across all disciplines, including civil, structural, finishes, mechanical, and electricalWhat You Need to Succeed
    • Education & Experience:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 5+ years in pre-construction/estimating, or an equivalent blend of education and experience
      • Technical Knowledge:
        • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-Up, estimating software (e.g., On-Screen, Bluebeam), and proficiency in MS Office Suite
        • Skills & Abilities:
          • Strong understanding of construction methods, processes, and management practices
          • Ability to interpret construction documents and apply them effectively to estimating
          • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal
          • Interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, from subcontractors to project teams and company leadership
