securing emerging technologies like 5G networks, messaging

This role manages all aspects of cybersecurity operations, from
maintaining network security infrastructure to implementing
automated security controls and leading incident response efforts.

Team Management
- Mentor analysts, engineers, and architects to promote
professional growth and align team efforts with organizational
goals.

Operations
- Oversee incident response, vulnerability assessments, and the
implementation of security patches.
- Administer firewalls, Cloud native security technologies like
Wiz, Obsidian, Entra ID, EDR , HashiCorp, GitLab and other security
tools.
- Provide expert consultation on the cybersecurity aspects of
applications, 5G networks, and critical telecommunications
technologies.
- Secure critical 3GPP components, including IMS Core and Packet
Core systems, as well as messaging and global roaming
platforms.
- Plan and execute protective measures, including policy, process
improvements, and cybersecurity awareness.Automation and Innovation
- Design and implement automated security control testing
frameworks for cloud, 5G, and containerized environments.
- Integrate automated security controls into CI/CD pipelines for
real-time vulnerability detection and
remediation.Telecommunications and 5G Security
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity strategies for 5G
technologies, ensuring secure implementation of 3GPP
standards.
- Enhance security for IMS Core, Packet Core, and messaging
systems, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance.
- Implement end-to-end security for global roaming platforms,
safeguarding data integrity and confidentiality.
- Lead initiatives to secure hybrid telecommunications
environments, integrating cloud-native applications with legacy
systems.Cloud and Container Security
- Implement and maintain security solutions for cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Kubernetes,
Docker, Red Hat OpenShift).
- Develop best practices for container orchestration, runtime
security, and vulnerability management.
- Enforce compliance and security for cloud-native applications
and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).Network Security
- Oversee the design and execution of advanced network security
strategies, including firewalls, SASE Products like Zscaler, and
network segmentation (Illumio).
- Secure hybrid environments by integrating cloud, on-premises,
and edge networks.
- Develop automated monitoring tools for proactive threat
detection.Strategic Collaboration and Planning
- Develop strategies, roadmaps, and requirements for enterprise
information protection in alignment with business goals and
emerging telecom technologies.
- Manage vendor relationships to adopt and implement cutting-edge
security technologies for telecommunications systems.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity policies and regulatory
controls threats, vulnerabilities, and overall risk profile of the
enterprise (per team function).
- Experience with incident handling for Security breaches.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills necessary to engage
with diverse cross functional groups and present effectively to
small and large groups.
- Lead security projects driven by groups both internal and
external to Digital Security.
- Maintain visibility outside of Digital Security, interface and
communicate with non-Digital Security groups during cybersecurity
events to coordinate cross-functional efforts.
- Seek out strategic relationships that will increase team
output, process accuracy, decrease time to market, or otherwise
improve the customer experience on a consistent basis.
- Establish and contribute to mutually beneficial shared goals

- Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science, Engineering or related
field, relevant experience in lieu of degree might be
considered.Experience:
- 7+ years cybersecurity technical experience
- 3+ years management leadership experienceKnowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of 3GPP standards, IMS Core, Packet Core, and
global roaming technologies.
- Expertise in securing messaging platforms, including SMS, MMS,
and RCS.
- Advanced knowledge of 5G security architectures and protocols,
including network slicing, edge security, and zero-trust
principles.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container
technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift).
- Advanced skills in network security tools (firewalls, SASE,
SIEM, micro-segmentation platforms) and scripting (Python,
Terraform, Shell).
- Familiarity with privileged access management (e.g., CyberArk,
Hashicorp), scanning solutions (e.g., tenable), and IaC
principles.Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication abilities to engage diverse
teams and stakeholders.
- Conflict resolution and collaboration skills to drive
cross-functional efforts effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of security best practices in large-scale
environments
- Experience with high level design architecture, security
technologies, Networking, web services and SOA. Understanding of
encryption, obfuscation, tokenization technologies

- Subject matter expert in many facets of network & information
security, including Firewall policy design, SSL Certificate
management, vulnerability analysis & mitigation, and other topics
as assigned.
- Significant knowledge of current technological trends and
developments in cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of federal & compliance regulations e.g. SOX, PCI &
CPNI.
- 5 years Technical Project Management.
- Medium to advance knowledge of Scripting tools
(Python/Perl/Shell/HTML/PHP).Certifications (Preferred):
- CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, or other relevant certifications in cloud,
container, and network security.
- Telecommunications-specific certifications, such as 5G security

Base Pay Range: $143,400 - $258,800Corporate Bonus Target: 20%The
