A successful candidate will demonstrate understanding of quality control procedures and key elements of the inspection process and documentation thereof, while leading the quality control team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesGenerate Quality Assurance (QA) documentsOversee the creation and updates of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to quality assurance processesCollaborate with production and engineering team to resolve quality issues and reduce the rate of product defectsEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standardsMaintain quality control records, documents, and logsExecute and document specific test plans Issue, maintain and distribute accurate drawingsLead and manage the quality assurance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluationsOther duties as assignedRequirements:RequirementsMinimum high school diploma or vocational degree4+ Years of experience in quality assuranceExperience with CAD softwareAbility to read and understand engineering drawings and shop drawingsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage change along with competing prioritiesFluency in English with excellent written and oral skills Proficiency in standard Office computer applicationsQualificationsExperience reviewing documents and drawings for completeness, redline correctionsExperience in steel fabrication or general constructionPhysical Requirements/Work EnvironmentThis position requires moderate physical activity in a manufacturing and office environment. To perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently seated at a computer desk, is utilizing a cell phone, and participating in meetings with colleagues. Walking extended distances from location to location in the factory complex and meeting with people in noisy or congested areas will be a common occurrence. The employee must be able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, pull and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift 40 pounds of weight throughout assigned workday if required. The employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
