FULFILLMENT BUYER, SUPPLY CHAIN (STARLINK)

Starlink is the world's largest satellite constellation and is providing fast, reliable internet to 4M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system - thousands of satellites, consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We've only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink's potential global impact and are looking for best-in-class engineers to help maximize Starlink's utility for communities and businesses around the globe.

This Fulfillment Buyer within the Indirect Procurement team will support purchases for several Starlink locations. The Indirect Procurement team has aggressive objectives that positively impact our product and bottom line. We are looking for the right person who is equipped and ready for these challenges to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  
• Issue purchase orders quickly and without error
  
• Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers
  
• Obtain the original promise date from suppliers
  
• Review open order reports and manage deliveries
  
• Resolve invoice issues and ensure that vendors are paid on time
  
• Expedite parts as necessary
  
• Act as customer service for SpaceX internal customers
  
• Support buyers in cost savings initiatives
  
• Lead miscellaneous procurement projects
  
  BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's degree OR 4+ years of experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function
    
    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Purchasing experience, specifically related to Indirect buying
      
    • Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed
      
    • Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs

        COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
        Pay range:
        Fulfillment Buyer: $29.00/hour
        Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
        Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
