Skills and mindset essential for success:
SUMMARY:The Assistant Community Director works with the Community
Director to oversee the operational and financial aspects of a
property. The Assistant Community Director assists the Community
Director in the oversight of the community providing the necessary
leadership, guidance and motivation to ensure a positive working
environment and quality community living and manages the process of
rent collection, delinquency, and other accounting responsibilities
as needed. Successful Assistant Community Directors will have
proven ability to multitask and analytical and time management
skills and be customer focused.
Requirements:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Core duties and
responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct
supervisory responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must

Language Ability:Ability to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, residents,
investors, executive management, or employees of company.
Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all
units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw
and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to
carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual
should have knowledge of word processing software, internet
software, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Onsite, and Yardi Voyager
system experience a plus.
Education/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or
university strongly preferred; and more than three years related
experience and/or training in residential property management
preferred; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to sit, use hands, and talk or hear. The employee is
frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is
occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop,
kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or
move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this
job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.
