Description:At Cocoon House we empower young people, families,
and communities in Snohomish County to break the cycle of
homelessness through outreach, housing, and prevention. The Lead
Outreach Specialist will work with youth experiencing homelessness
ages 13-24 years old throughout Snohomish County, coordinating
outreach efforts, conducting community and street outreach
throughout the community and providing youth-driven, goal-based
case management services as necessary. The Lead Outreach Specialist
will also support in program oversight for the YYA Emergency
Shelter: Hotels Program, assisting in grant compliance and general
program procedures. The ideal candidate will have a passion for
working with youth, knowledge of best practices in youth
development, and a desire to make a positive difference in their

Specialist Duties & ResponsibilitiesFull-Time- On-site Wages: $24 -
$25/hr Schedule: Flexible working hours -8 hr per day between
9am-7pm Provide youth-driven case management for an average of
10-15 at-risk or homeless youth ages 12-25. Network with supporting
agencies, resources and the community throughout Snohomish
County.Strong support of Outreach Programs and support of Cocoon
House programs in general.Provide a safe and supportive environment
for teens in care, promoting positive interaction, providing life
skills, social skills and enrichment activities. Provide
information, referrals and support to community on phone.Street
Outreach and Networking in Snohomish County.Work with Street
Outreach Program Manager and other department members to provide
hands-on Outreach to young people throughout Snohomish County and
connect with other agencies and service providers throughout
Snohomish County in order to educate on Cocoon House services and
encourage referrals to our services. Help the street outreach
manager, Thrive Services manager, and U-turn program manager with
event planning and other community coordination. Case Management
Providing case management for an average of 10-12 youth ages 12-24
year olds throughout the Snohomish County Area. Collecting prompt
and accurate data required for case management files, surveys,
youth stories, etc .Provide aid with employment, education,
housing, substance abuse, medical care, and legal needs, while
working within the Positive Youth Development Framework. Program
Oversight Work closely wit the Director of Outreach, Youth
Engagement Team Program Manager, and Street Outreach Manager to
support program procedures, utilizing tools an working with the
data entry team to ensure that Outreach Teams are complying with
grant expectations. Meet with Outreach Case Managers and Navigator
regularly about clients in high need scenarios and/or who are
staying in Cocoon House shelters. Take measures to ensure that
staff are actively supporting youth in their attempts to meet
housing stability goals and meeting established housing connection
outcomes. Documentation & Communication. Will be available and
responsive to emails and phone calls during expected business
hours. Will be held accountable for accurate reporting of business
hours, mileage and services provided. Will work positively and
cooperatively as part of the entire Outreach Programs team and
Cocoon House agency. Will promptly communicate to the Director of
Outreach regarding any gaps in meeting expectations and needed

speaking/bi-lingual preferredOne year working directly with youth

a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable
transportationMaintain professional healthy boundaries with
strength-based perspective on individual youthAbility to assess
emergencies and feel comfortable accessing emergency services.
