Job Description:
A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist
patients in resolving account balances for medical services by
determining their eligibility for assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities
Screen patients for eligibility for state and federal assistance
programs
Assist patients with the application process for appropriate
assistance programs
Maintain documentation and follow up on applications until benefits
are secured or denied
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
Experience with medical coding or billing is preferred
Proficient PC knowledge with typing skills of 30-40 wpm
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
