Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Specialist 2 responsible for
reviewing documentation to convert it into diagnostic and procedure
codes.
Key Responsibilities
Review electronic and written documentation for accurate coding
Communicate with clinical staff for proper code selection (ICD CM,
CPT/HCPCS)
Assist in quality audits and data collection for coding
accuracy
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of college-level courses in ICD, CPT4, and HCPCS
AHIMA or AAPC Certification required
1 year of experience in a medical office
Experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding
