Position Title: Music Director, Newport Presbyterian Church
Reports to: Head of Staff
Approved by: Personnel Committee
Status: Part time (20-40 hours per week; including Sundays and Christmas Eve)
Hours are flexible according to agreed-upon skills and tasks.
Pay and Benefits: starting at $30/hour, depending on experience; contributions toward health insurance may be available if working more than 20 hours/week.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct the music program at Newport Presbyterian Church.
  
• Coordinate and lead music for worship services, including Sundays and special events.
  
• Collaborate with the Head of Staff and other church leaders in planning music for services.
  
• Recruit, train, and support musicians and volunteers involved in the music program.
  
• Manage the music budget and resources effectively.
  
• Engage the congregation through music and encourage participation.
