Therapy Assistant to join our passionate team. At Northwest

Responsibilities:
--- Assisting Patients: Help patients perform exercises and
rehabilitation activities prescribed by physical therapists,
ensuring proper technique and safety.
--- Monitoring Progress: Observe and report patients' progress,
reactions to treatments, and any changes in their condition to the
supervising physical therapist.
--- Preparing Treatment Areas: Set up and maintain treatment areas
and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working
environment.
--- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient treatments,
progress notes, and any other relevant information as required by
healthcare regulations.
--- Educating Patients: Provide education and support to patients
and their families about exercise programs and recovery processes
to enhance understanding and compliance.
Qualifications:
Here are five qualifications for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
in Washington State:
--- Education: Completion of an accredited Associate's degree
program in physical therapy assisting.
--- Licensure: Washington State license to practice as a Physical
Therapy Assistant.
--- Background Check: Successfully complete a criminal background
check as part of the licensing process.
--- Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing professional
development and continuing education requirements to maintain
licensure.
--- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication
skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and
healthcare team members in a clinical setting.
--- Must be authorized to work in the US
--- Must be within commuting distance of our office in Federal
Way
