Software Engineering, you will lead the development and building of
software applications that address complex problems in various
industries. You will mentor and guide a diverse engineering team
through the entire engineering life cycle. Your responsibilities
will include designing, developing, optimizing, and deploying
cutting-edge software engineering solutions and infrastructure at
the production scale required by the world's largest companies.
- Collaborate closely with and influence general consulting teams
to identify software solutions to client business problems.
- Provide strategic leadership in designing and development of
full stack application software.
- Oversee and drive strategic engagements focused on optimizing
clients' front-end architecture and security frameworks.
- Champion establishing front-end development best practices and
standards.
- Guide the development of scalable libraries and software
components.
- Oversee the full software development life cycle.
- Lead the collaboration between web designers and developers to
create modern UI/UX web applications.
- Coach front-end engineers to develop full-stack
capabilities.
- Work with the team and other senior leaders to create a great
working environment.
- Drive best demonstrated practices in software engineering.
- Act as PD Advisor as needed.
- Lead recruiting and onboarding for other team members.
- Travel is required (30%)ABOUT YOU
- 7+ years' experience with web application development and
technologies such as React, Angular, Vue.js, HTML, and CSS.
- 6+ years' experience with server-side development with
frameworks and technologies such as Python, FastAPI, Node.js,
Flask, Django, .NET Core, or Java Spring Boot.
- Deep experience with designing and building full stack
applications.
- Track record of leading and collaborating on strategic
initiatives.
- Experience building applications with Cloud platforms and
services (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- 5+ years' experience with micro-service API development
(RESTful, GraphQL, gRPC).
- Strong knowledge in front-end development best practices.
- Experience with data architecture, database schema design, and
SQL.
- Understanding of data security and privacy regulations.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures,
algorithms, and automated testing.
- Experience working according to agile principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Curiosity, proactivity, and critical thinking.
- Ability to collaborate with people at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and juggle priorities.
- Relevant professional hands-on experience in web
development.U.S. Compensation InformationCompensation for this role
includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus,
401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of
service and Bain's best in class benefits package.Some local
governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable
salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The
estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:In
New York City, California, Washington State, and Washington D.C,
the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for
this role is between $260,750 - $313,250.For all other locations,
the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for
this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market
rates.Annual discretionary performance bonus and other elements of
discretionary compensation may also apply.Bain & Company's
