DescriptionThe successful candidate is accountable for booking
profitable group business from key accounts, key prospects, and
other active accounts in the assigned regions.What's in it for

Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage large group sales leads with a peak of 60+
room nights.
- Exceed personal sales goals monthly, quarterly, and annually
through account development and maintenance.
- Schedule effective sales calls and appointments within assigned
markets, participate in prescribed training and special projects,
assist in the development and training of sales coordinators, and
collect market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement
strategy and long-term goals.
- Consistently offer prompt, professional, engaging, and friendly
service.
- Quote rates and negotiate group room contracts within
established parameters, keeping accurate records of potential
customers and following through on all potential business.
- Coordinate with Convention Services, Catering, and other hotel
departments to ensure delivery of the hotel's promised
services.
- Utilize Opera Sales and Catering System to track, solicit,
book, and follow up on accounts, preparing weekly, monthly,
quarterly, and annual reports as required.
- Develop lead sources and rapport with key personnel at
Convention and Visitors Bureau, Industry Partners, and Fairmont
Global Sales Offices.
- Maintain active membership in industry-related organizations
and associations pertaining to the specific market.
- Support the goals, objectives, and philosophies of Fairmont
Hotels & Resorts and the Fairmont Olympic Hotel
Seattle.Qualifications:
- Must be able to work legally in the US without restriction now
or in the future.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business
Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Group Sales Manager or similar role in a
luxury hotel environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and
motivating a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation
skills.
- Deep understanding of the group sales process, market dynamics,
and customer requirements in the luxury hospitality sector.
- Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including
evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other
relevant sales management tools.Physical Aspects of Position
(include but are not limited to):
- Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with
intermittent periods of walking.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs at
shoulder height.
- Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and
repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing &
overhead reaching occasionally.
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk
on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis.Additional
