sustainability initiatives. We're seeking a Senior Environmental
Planner/Project Manager to help lead siting, permitting, and
licensing of critical infrastructure maintenance and replacement,
renewable energy, and/or energy transformation projects. We support

of our Pacific Northwest offices, you'll apply and grow your
technical and management experience in leading environmental
planning and compliance; natural and cultural resources; and
executing permitting strategies. Your leadership will be key to
realizing safer infrastructure operations, healthier communities,
and protection of our world's natural resources.As a Senior
Environmental Planner/Project Manager, you will lead environmental
permitting and related efforts to support project development and
meeting client objectives and project-specific internal financial
goals. Your analytical and writing skills will be called upon as
you lead development of quality client deliverables. Your project
management or task leadership will include permit strategy and
impact avoidance and minimization, preparing permit applications
and environmental compliance documents, and client communication.
You will provide motivation and direction to project teams while
you in turn are partnered with experience project delivery leaders,
technical leaders, and mentors to facilitate your project and

Responsibilities of this Position Include:
- Serve as Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager in the
successful planning and execution of primarily infrastructure
development projects.
- Develop permitting strategies, provide regulatory guidance, and
coordinate environmental resource surveys (biological, cultural) to
document existing conditions and to identify sensitive resources on
a project site.
- Provide quality assurance reviews of technical documents.
- Lead coordination with clients and regulatory agencies to
discuss and negotiate project impacts, permitting requirements, and
mitigation strategies.
- Provide mentorship, growth, and direction to junior and
mid-level staff, and aid in their career growth.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams to complete projects on time
and on budget.Strategy And Business Development Responsibilities:
- Work with Jacobs Client Account Managers and Operations on
strategic pursuits, including proposals and business
development.
- Conduct business development activities through direct client
contact.
- Lead proposal and cost development activities for environmental
tasks.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental
planning, or similar discipline.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible work history as a
Project Manager, ideally with prior consulting experience.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental and
land use regulations and regulatory processes.
- Familiarity with Pacific Northwest habitats and sensitive
resources (special-status species, waters, wetlands, cultural
resources), and associated permitting processes.
- Experience leading/reviewing permitting efforts with agencies
including but not limited to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
(USACE), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Oregon Department
of State Lands (DSL), Oregon Department of Environmental Quality
(DEQ) and/or Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
- Experience coordinating and managing teams of environmental
professionals on a variety of projects at the same time.
- Ability to charter and lead a project or task team with a focus
on client service and internal delivery goals.
- Strong follow-through skills, attention to detail, and work
quality.
- Experience implementing environmental permit requirements,
construction monitoring oversight, and other services related to
environmental compliance.Ideally, you'll also have:
- Master's degree or other graduate degree.
- Experience in the environmental consulting industry with
renewable energy, energy transmission and distribution,
transportation, or other infrastructure development projects.
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing National Environmental
Policy Act (NEPA) and/or State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA)
document sections.
- Experience with Oregon Energy Facility Siting Council (EFSC) or
Washington Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC) site
certification processes.
- Experience with projects requiring railroad crossing permits,
utility/municipal road right-of-way (ROW) permits, and/or Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) consultation.
- Experience leading a 1200-C construction stormwater permit or
other stormwater compliance related tasks.
- Experience with tribal coordination on projects.At Jacobs,

for this position is $96,100.00 to $168,200.00. Within the range,
individual pay is determined by work location and additional
