Summary As an RN Unit Care Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing patient care within the unit, ensuring high standards of managed care and patient service. Reporting to the nursing director, your role will involve patient assessment, discharge planning, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Your core skills in nursing and medical terminology will be essential, while premium experience in critical care and trauma centers will enhance patient outcomes. Qualifications Current RN License Strong background in managed care and patient service Proficient in patient assessment and discharge planning Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations Experience in hospital settings, including critical care and trauma centers Familiarity with inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute care environments Understanding of physiology and nursing best practices Responsibilities Oversee patient care management and ensure adherence to managed care protocols. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate effective discharge planning. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold medical terminology standards. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient services.
