Job Description:

Summary:
The Dean of Students/Athletic Director will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Mossyrock School District's student body and athletic programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all students receive a high-quality education and that all athletic programs run smoothly.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
- Manage and supervise all athletic programs, including scheduling games, coordinating transportation, and ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff members to identify and address the needs of individual students
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote student engagement and academic success
- Work with parents and community members to build strong relationships and support for the school district
- Manage the budget for the athletic department and ensure that all expenditures are within budgetary constraints
- Hire, train, and evaluate coaches and other athletic staff members
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to education and athletics
-Student behavior: including developing and administering disciplinary procedure -Student attendance: Monitoring student attendance, including preparing letters and calling parents -Student discipline: Advising parents on student behavior and discipline, and creating and monitoring student intervention plans. -Student Communication: Communicating with parents, students, staff, and the public.-School administration: Assisting the principals with a variety of admin functions and instructional services.-School Safety: Maintaining a safe and secure campus. -School Image: Working with the community to promote a positive school image.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education required, sports management, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of experience in a leadership role in education or athletics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, and staff members
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to education and athletics
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to promoting a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
