Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical Billing Collection Specialist
to manage billing and collection processes for preventative
healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
Handle billing and collections for major payers, including Medicare
and commercial carriers
Review and reprocess rejected claims, prepare appeals for denials,
and send monthly patient statements
Respond to inquiries regarding billing concerns and perform
insurance verifications
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Minimum of 2-3 years of medical billing office experience
Experience with medical billing software and Excel
Thorough knowledge of the functional area under supervision
Experience with Athena software collections processes preferred
Ability to read and understand different Explanation of Benefits
and Electronic Remittance Summaries
