DescriptionDogwood Industries is seeking an experienced and
detail-oriented Controller to lead our high-performing Finance
team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing and
streamlining all aspects of financial management, including
accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The
ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep
understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to provide
strategic financial guidance to Ownership. In addition to managing
day-to-day financial operations, the Controller will provide
mentorship and guidance to the accounting team.Duties &
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all aspects of the company's
financial management, including accounting, financial reporting,
budgeting, and forecastingDevelop and implement corporate cash
management policies and procedures to optimize cash flow and
minimize borrowing costsEvaluate strategic investment opportunities
and recommend strategies to maximize returns while mitigating risk
in accordance with Dogwood's risk tolerance levelCollaborate with
Senior Accountant to prepare and present cash flow projections,
investment performance reports, and other financial analyses to
Ownership for strategic planningOversee the month-end and year-end
close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial
statementsResponsible for the annual budgeting process and
providing variance analysis to track performance against budgeted
targetsOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and
other accounting functions to ensure accuracy and efficiencyAnalyze
financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations
for improving financial performance and operational
efficiencyDevelop and maintain internal controls to safeguard
Dogwood assets and ensure compliance with regulatory
requirementsStay abreast of changes in accounting standards,
regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with
applicable requirementsCollaborate with Senior Accountant and
department leaders to develop and monitor departmental budgets and
forecastsProvide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to members of
the accounting team, fostering their professional development and
growthOther duties and responsibilities as
requiredRequirements:RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting,
Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred10+ years
of experience in accounting or finance roles, with 5+ years of
experience in a supervisory or managerial capacityStrong
understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting
standards, and regulatory requirementsStrong analytical and
problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial
data and provide actionable insightsExcellent communication and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate
complex financial information to non-financial stakeholdersProven
leadership abilities, with a track record of building and managing
high-performing teamsDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
and integrity in financial reporting and analysisProficiency in
accounting software and financial systems; experience with ERP
systems is a plusExperience with construction or industrial
fabrication is a plusAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic

This role is based at our physical location, and in-person
attendance is required. This is a full-time, in office
position.Travel to Dogwood's manufacturing facilities in
